The Born to Run Foundation was created with the aim of raising funds to partner the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and researchers to identify the best and most promising research projects that are aimed at finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. The Big Red Run (established by the foundation) will be an exciting week- long event based out of Birdsville, covering unchartered parts of the Simpson Desert.
John Williamson has performed at many spectacular venues around Australia but it will be hard to beat the special concert planned for Monday 8th July 2013. At sunset on that day, John, Col Watson and the Fair dinkum team will find themselves atop Big Red (the largest sand dune in the Simpson Desert) to play a very special fund raising event for Diabetes Type 1 research supported by The Big Red Run organisation.
To be part of an organised tour to the concert, you are invited to join John on a private air charter from Brisbane to the iconic outback town of Birdsville in Queensland's south west corner and enjoy a lifetime experience. July 2013 Gigs
There are lots more shows to come in 2013 including four gigs in New South Wales and Victoria next month. John always enjoys visiting Wagga Wagga and will be performing in the Wagga Wagga Civic Centre on Wednesday 17th July. The following evening the tour will move to the Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre. Friday 19th will see John and the team at The Capital - Bendigo's Performing Centre and the week's tour will conclude with a big show at the Lighthouse Theatre, Warrnambool on Saturday 20th July. Tickets are still available for all performances and, as usual, all are welcome to meet John after the show.
